Course description

Creating Interest is the second step of a professional sales call, and is also critical to getting appointments with a prospect, making appointments with a gatekeeper, or getting responses from an email, voicemail or text message.

In all of the above situations, and even if you have an appointment, you have only about twenty seconds to get that person’s attention.  Twenty seconds to convince that person that maybe, just maybe a conversation with you might have value for them, their family or for their company.  Twenty seconds to establish credibility, believability, and possibility.  Twenty seconds to make them want to open up and discuss with you their true needs.  It will change the tone of the entire conversation.

 

Classroom training

On-Line Course

1003 Creating Interest on-line is part of the Consultative Selling Curriculum that features all six steps of the planned customer discussion.  The on-line course features interactive skills training, practice, and certified testing along with downloadable worksheets ideal for creating meaningful summary notes.  The course will take between two to four hours and can be completed, stopped and resumed at the student’s option.  Offered on-line, the student can elect to take just this course or take Creating Interest as part of the Consultative Selling Series.  Click here to enroll in 1003 Creating Interest.

Blended Learning

After completing 1003 Creating Interest on-line, the student is eligible to attend a live webinar with a GDA certified instructor and other students who have completed 1003 Creating Interest.  The instructor will practice live situations suitable to the students’ environments. During this 90 minute live session, all students will benefit from their own practice and feedback, plus from listening to the practice and feedback of up to twenty other students.  Offered on-line, the student can elect to take just this blended course follow-up or take Creating Interest as part of the Consultative Selling Series.

One of the best ways to have access to the techniques featured in GDA’s course on Creating Interest is by downloading the app onto your iPhone.  The app features audio review from the course content, complete with examples of what Creating Interest discussions sound like when done well.  The audio only feature is designed so that the student can listen on the run, during exercising or while traveling.  Then, when the techniques are fresh in their minds, students can RECORD their own examples right into the app for review up to the minute before beginning an important customer conversation.
